Turf Herbicide

Broadleaf and Grassy weed in a lawn can make it look undesirable. These weeds will also consume water and nutrients intended for the lawn.

5 Step Organic Lawn Care Program

Each step includes the balanced application of environmentally-safe organic fertilizer and selectively hand-spray any weeds in the yard with a pet-safe herbicide

  1. April/May: This spring application will provide your lawn with a natural boost of food coming out of the dormant winter months. We will also note and spray any weeds in the lawn.
  2. June: The first of two summer applications, this will supply your lawn with the food it needs to stay green and healthy through the most active and strenous growing time of the season. We will again check for weeds and spray as needed
  3. August: The second of two summer applications, this will supply your lawn with the food it needs to stay green and healthy through the most active and strenuous growing time of the season. Again, we will check any weed problems noted in the past visits and continue to sprayany new weeds that may sprout.
  4. September: The first of two fall applications, this will continue to feed your lawn and help provide green growth through the end of the season. We will also continue to check for weeds and spray any that still survive.
  5. October: The second of two fall applications, this will provide green growth through the end of the growing season as well as build up nutrients for use as a 'jump start' for next spring's growth. This final application will also include reviewing any weed problems form the previous applications and spraying any weeds that may exist in the lawn.

5 Step Lawn Care Program

  1. April/May: Our first spring application will promote early green growth and recovery from the harsh winter months. This application also includes a pre-emergent crabgrass control which will help to ensure any weeds are taken care of before they sprout
  2. June: The second application will be a slow-release fertilizer to gradually feed your lawn and help it to get ready for the hottest part of the growing season. This application also includes weed preventer which will help prevent any unwanted weeds from germinating.
  3. August: Our third application will again provide a slow-release fertilizer to keep a stable flow of nutrients available to your lawn. We will then apply a spot treatment with a hand-sprayer for any weeds that may have bloomed
  4. September: The fourth application will provide a balanced ferilizer promoting root growth aid in the recovery from summer stress. Again, we will spot spray any weeds that may have bloomed in the lawn.
  5. October: Our final application provides nutrients for healthy root growth as well as a supply of nutrients for the plant to store and use next spring. During this application, we will check problem areas for weeds and eliminate any weed that may remain in the lawn.
